Nyappy New Year for 2009
I wish every member and other souls in the world a Happy New Year for 2009.
Make it a great year, help us make this forum big and help other where you can.
If you can do good for other do so.
And most of all. If you want to do something, just do it. Because time is short and life will be over before you know it.
Well a very good year everyone!
Greetings
Drake Heros the Legend Maker

Akeome, kotoyoro! \(^ω^ ) /
This (3 years old) video explains how to wish people a happy new year in Japanese:
明けましておめでとうございます!今年も宜しくお願いします。
Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu! Kotoshi mo yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
Happy new year! Please be kind to me this year too, as I will to you.
The "gozaimasu" and "onegai shimasu" are for being polite, so you could leave them out for friends, or use the slang line:
アケオメ コトヨロ
Akeome, kotoyoro
Notice this is just an abriviation of the last sentence:
akemashite omedetou gozaimasu, kotoshi mo yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
オランダから ハッピーニューイヤー!!
Oranda kara happy new year!!
Happy new year from Holland!!
the same as Ryo said at the end, just switching Nippon (=Japan) with Oranda (=Holland)
